Siege

A work in response to Human Rights Day. Siege, a live art piece using the limits of  the body to create sculptural boundaries. Employing visually intriguing and provocative metaphors for restricted movement, Mandy Roberts’ body becomes the protagonist as it becomes pawn, hostage and prisoner.

Mandy Roberts interacts with the audience and questions the restrictions placed on the free movement of people by using props such as barrier tape, modelling clay and dowling sticks.
